Somatics for the Female Nervous System Workshop:

Self-Sabotage is a Nervous System Blueprint - How to Shift

Happening live January 16th at 12 noon PST - Replays available

Self sabotage breeds shame, shame breeds further self-sabotage and even self-abandonment. In small ways and eventually in ways that can become destructive and maladaptive. But these habits and behavior aren't truly a choice that you are making, and this doesn't mean you are claiming yourself as a victim in the process either...

When we are truly ready to take full responsibility for ourselves and our lives, we must also realize that working simply at the level of the mind (like deciding on new boundaries or deciding on more discipline) is not actually enough to overcome these challenges because they live MUCH deeper than our conscious rational minds; they are rooted in our nervous system.

But with all this nervous system talk, how can we actually get to the root of digesting these emotions, completing the response our bodies yearn to, and actually transforming the way we feel in our bodies and the way we experience our lives?

In short, working with our female physiology and our female nervous system to leverage the intelligence of our biology.

↓ Here's WHAT YOU'RE GETTING:

  • What self sabotage really is at the nervous system level

  • Why self abandonment is a protective mechanism and is not a rational choice that we make

  • How to actually work with these responses in alignment with our cyclical female nervous systems

  • How to digest core emotions through oxytocin and how to continue the work for lasting results.

  • Live Q and A

  • A replay with bonus somatic practices

Meet the founder of Pleasure as Praxis...

Hey love, I'm Verónica

I created Pleasure as Praxis because I saw a gap in how women are taught to understand their relationship to pleasure—and to their own nervous system.

I’m a doctoral candidate specializing in the history and philosophy of science of the female nervous system and the female orgasm, and my work is informed by both research and lived experience.

I draw from the growing body of female-led science—researchers who are also midwives, doulas, birth workers, and somatic practitioners—who understand the female pelvis as central to nervous system regulation and healing.

This work is also deeply personal. I have healed my own chronic illness, including muscular dystrophy, POTS, PCOS, and CPTSD. I understand the fear of being told your body is in an “incurable,” state and the overwhelm that can make change feel impossible.

That’s why I believe in soft work, intentional integration and the power of pleasure, oxytocin, the female nervous system's primary regulator.

Everything I offer is rooted in the kind of support I once needed in my darkest times, and it is my great pleasure to now offer it to you.
